Setting a key/value pair in DistributedCache involves waiting on the
write to Redis to finish. In most cases, we don't need to wait on the
setting of the cache to finish. We just need to take our return value
and move on.
`SvgSprite.custom_sprite_paths` does not just fetch custom SVG sprite
from themes. It also picks up any custom svg icons from a pre-defined
plugin folder.

The XML parsing of SVGs is done whenever the cache expires or on the
first load after a reboot. In one of our production instance, parsing
ranges from 30ms to 70ms which is not ideal. Instead, we've decided to
make a small memory trade off here by memoizing the core SVGs once on
boot to avoid parsing of the SVG files during the duration of a request.
The memozied hash will take up 57440 bytes or 0.05744 megabytes in size.
PostDestroyer should accept the option to permanently destroy post from the database. In addition, when the first post is destroyed it destroys the whole topic.
Currently, that feature is limited to private messages and creator of the post. It will be used by discourse-encrypt to explode encrypted private messages.
We remove the slow mode composer message and provide better messages when rejecting new posts and edits. The client now validates if the user tries to post again immediately. Finally, we replaced the `hourglass-end` icon with the `hourglass-start` one.
Adds a new slow mode for topics that are heating up. Users will have to wait for a period of time before being able to post again.
We store this interval inside the topics table and track the last time a user posted using the last_posted_at datetime in the TopicUser relation.
Usage:

Note that a button loading without an icon will shrink text size to prevent button to jump in size.
A button while loading is disabled.
There are three modifiers:
- serialize_topic_excerpts (boolean)
- csp_extensions (array of strings)
- svg_icons (array of strings)
When multiple themes are active, the values will be combined. The combination method varies based on the setting. CSP/SVG arrays will be combined. serialize_topic_excerpts will use `Enumerable#any`.
Adds a custom bookmark-clock icon to discourse-additional.svg for use with the new bookmarks with reminder functionality.
Also add some code to correctly refresh the post-stream icon for bookmark to show the clock after save.
This version hash is used for the filename, and so browsers/CDNs cache based on it. Previously the version hash was based only on the list of requested icons. This can cause issues in a couple of situations, most commonly when developing themes with custom icons:
- A requested icon does not exist, and then later is added to the theme. The bundle output changes, but the hash did not
- The SVG content of an icon changes, but the name of the icon does not. The bundle output changes, but the hash did not
Zeitwerk simplifies working with dependencies in dev and makes it easier reloading class chains.
We no longer need to use Rails "require_dependency" anywhere and instead can just use standard
Ruby patterns to require files.
This is a far reaching change and we expect some followups here.

This feature adds quick access panels for bookmarks and personal
messages. It allows uses to browse recent items directly in the user
menu, without being redirected to the full pages.
* REFACTOR: Use QuickAccessItem for messages.
Reusing `DefaultNotificationItem` feels nice but it actually requires a
lot of extra work that is not needed for a quick access item.
Also, `DefaultNotificationItem` shows an incorrect tooptip ("unread
private message"), and it is not trivial to remove / override that.
* Use a plain JS object instead.
An Ember object was required when `DefaultNotificationItem` was used.
* Prefix instead suffix `_` for private helpers.
* Set to null instead of deleting object keys.
