Before this commit,
`PageObjects::Components::SelectKit#expanded_component` might not expand
the component if `is_collapsed?` returns true which can return true if
the method was called before the select-kit component appears on the
screen. When that happens, we end up not expanding the `select-kit`
because we think it is collapsed when in fact the select-kit component
is not rendered yet. This lead to system test failures with errors like:
```
Capybara::ElementNotFound:
Unable to find css "#add-synonyms.is-expanded"
```
This commit updates `PageObjects::Components::SelectKit#is_collapsed?`
to check that the select-kit component has rendered first before
checking if the component is not expanded.

This is a stripped-back version of the Search Banner
component https://meta.discourse.org/t/search-banner/122939,
which will be renamed to Advanced Search Banner,
see https://github.com/discourse/discourse-search-banner/pull/84.
This welcome banner interacts with the header search.
When `search_experience` is set to `search_field`, we only
show the header search after the welcome banner scrolls
out of view, and vice-versa.
Only new sites will get this feature turned on by default,
existing sites have a migration to disable it.

The "Tag synonyms when visiting edit tag page allows an admin to create
a new tag as synonym when tag does not exist" system
test was flaky with the following error:
```
Failure/Error: super
Capybara::ElementNotFound:
Unable to find css "#add-synonyms.is-expanded"
```
Backtrace points to the following location:
```
...
./spec/system/page_objects/components/select_kit.rb:30:in `expanded_component'
./spec/system/page_objects/components/select_kit.rb:88:in `search'
...
```
What I noticed is that
`PageObjects::Components::SelectKit#expanded_component` has already
found the expanded element when it calls `#expand`. Therefore, there is
no need for us to search for it again.
The "Admin editing objects type theme setting when editing a theme
setting of objects type allows an admin to edit a theme setting of
objects type via the settings editor"
system test was flaky because of the way we were filling in content into
AceEditor. It is not a normal input and does not seem to function like a
normal input. Using Capybara's `fill_in` method was not reliable so we
will just use AceEditor's API directly to update its input.
When you are uploading, it just causes weird problems
when you switch between markdown/rich editors, and it's
not something we really want to support. This commit
disables the Composer::ToggleSwitch while uploading.
Continues the work done on
https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/30815.
Adds a `onebox` and an `onebox_inline` node spec, their serializers, and
a plugin that automatically converts links to oneboxes.
Redesigned page to update site logos. `AdminBrandingLogoFormComponent`
is attached to the old logos page and the new branding page. In the next
steps, branding will replace the logos page.
A new `AdminConfigAreaCardSection` component was added hidden and less
frequently used settings.
An image placeholder was also needed because many additional logos have
a fallback to the site logo.
Finally, `twitter_summary_large_image` was renamed to
`x_summary_large_image`.

This commit makes the
[color-scheme-toggle](https://github.com/discourse/discourse-color-scheme-toggle)
theme component a core feature with improvements and bug fixes. The
theme component will be updated to become a no-op if the core feature is
enabled.
Noteworthy changes:
* the color mode selector has a new "Auto" option that makes the site
render in the same color mode as the user's system preference
* the splash screen respects the color mode selected by the user
* dark/light variants of category logos and background images are now
picked correctly based on the selected color mode
* a new `interface_color_selector` site setting to disable the selector
or choose its location between the sidebar footer or header

This change includes the following updates:
- Rename view all to view all drafts
- Remove view all link from drop-down when all drafts are displayed in
the menu
- Different icon for draft topics and PMs (adds envelope for PMs)
- Disable drop-down when New Topic button is disabled (private
categories etc)
- Improve drafts drop-down loading (no longer disables the trigger btn
on click)
This is the first in a series of PRs to introduce a
ProseMirror-based
WYSIWYM editor experience
alongside our current textarea Markdown editor.
Behind a hidden site setting, this PR adds a toggle to the composer
toolbar, allowing users to switch between the two options.
Our implementation builds upon the excellent ProseMirror and its
non-core Markdown
module, using the
module's schema, parsing, and serialization definitions as the base for
further Discourse-specific features.
An extension API is included to enable further customizations.
The necessary extensions to support all Discourse's core and core
plugins features **will be implemented in subsequent PRs**.

This change adds a sidebar link for each plugin that fulfils the following criteria:
- Does not have an explicit admin route defined in the plugin.
- Has at least one site setting (not including enabled/disabled.)
That sidebar link leads to the automatically generated plugin show settings page.
adds a hidden site setting, "prioritize_full_names_in_ux", whose effect is to prefer full names in user-menu notifications

One of the big advantages is a nicer menu on mobile.
This commit also fixes a bug where the close modal action was called for any destroyed d-menu trigger, even if this specific menu was not expanding, which means it was closing a different modal than its own modal, given we can only have one modal at a time.
This PR introduces a base page object for admin pages. Since we're standardizing using components, this makes writing tests easier by abstracting away details about selectors.
This change adds a new dropdown trigger next to the "New Topic" button.
When clicked a menu will display a list of topic/post drafts that can be
clicked to resume the draft within the composer.
The "New Topic" button will no longer change text to show "Open Draft"
when a draft topic exists, it will still attempt to load the existing
draft if one exists (this will change later when we support multiple
drafts in a separate PR).
The "My Posts" link in desktop sidebar will now be "My Drafts" and only
appear when the current user has existing drafts.
This will cause the glimmer topic-list to be enabled for sites with compatible customizations. Incompatible customizations will print a deprecation message to the console, along with a link to more information.
Also cleans up a handful of specs/behaviour which were revealed by switching the default.

The chat emoji picker is renamed emoji-picker, and the old emoji-picker is removed.
This commit doesn't attempt to fully rework a new emoji-picker but instead tries to migrate everything to one picker (the chat one) and add small changes.
Other notable changes:
- all the favorite emojis code has been mixed into one service which is able to store one state per context, favorites emojis will be stored for all topics, and for each chat channel. Meaning that if you always use a specific emoji in a channel, it will only show as favorite emoji in this channel.
- a lot of static code has been removed which should improve initial load perf of discourse. Initially this code was around to improve the performance of the emoji picker rendering.
- the emojis are now stored, once the full list has been loaded, if you close and reopen the picker it won't have to load them again.
List of components:
- `<EmojiPicker />` will render a button which will open a dropdown
- `<EmojiPickerContent />` represents the content of the dropdown alone, it's useful when you want to render a picker from an action which is not the default picker button
- `<EmojiPickerDetached />` just a simple wrapper over `<EmojiPickerContent />` to make it easier to use it with `this.menu.show(...)`

This PR involves cleaning up the codebase from my (@keegangeorge's) todos.
In particular:
- Remove Form Template related todos (these are no longer in the roadmap)
- Remove old left-over AI summarization related code after moving to AI (https://github.com/discourse/discourse-ai/pull/658)
- Update one form template related spec
This converts the `<AdminPageHeader />` component and the
`<AdminPageSubheader />` components into new components
that can be used outside of admin, and updates the CSS classes.
Also introduces a `<DPageActionButton />` component and child
components for the header action buttons.
I have to keep the old admin-only components around for
now until plugins are updated, then we can remove it,
and remove the re-exports that are done within
admin-page-action-button.gjs
This commit introduces <NotificationsTracking /> which is a wrapper component around <DMenu /> which replaces the select-kit component <TopicNotificationsButton />.
Each tracking case has its dedicated component:
- topic -> `<TopicNotificationsTracking />`
- group -> `<GroupNotificationsTracking />`
- tag -> `<TagNotificationsTracking />`
- category -> `<CategoryNotificationsTracking />`
- chat thread -> `<ThreadNotificationsTracking />`
Some pages like new/edit item should not display admin header. New attribute called `@shouldDisplay` was added.
As a proof of concept, the flags page was updated.
BEFORE: if you click the "reply" button on a post and then decided that you want to "edit" the same post, clicking the "edit" button would do nothing. Clicking "edit" on another post works, but editing the same post would appear broken.
AFTER: if you click the "edit" button, it will properly load the content of the post you're trying to edit. No matter which one it is.
This was somewhat tricky to track down as the system specs seemed to contradict the qunit tests until I realized that the qunit tests were only testing the edit on the 1st post and the system specs were testing on replies.
I improved the qunit tests to test both editing OP and a reply and (hopefully) made the system specs a little bit clearer.

This commit introduces a new feature that allows staff to bulk select and delete users directly from the users list at `/admin/users/list`. The main use-case for this feature is make deleting spammers easier when a site is under a large spam attack.

When using chat in drawer mode, after you've clicked on a chat bookmark in the user menu, clicking any other chat bookmark would "do nothing".
In 8b18fd155679fa9b9d6e660ac74130cb79daabdc we added an optimization to prevent the same route from being reloaded, but it ended up breaking the bookmarks.
This commit reverts the changed made the above commit and adds a system specs that ensure we can click two chat bookmarks in the user menu when using chat in drawer mode.

This commit adds an API `upload_image` to `FormKitField` page object for setting an image file on an `Image` field in FormKit. Usage is like this:
```ruby
form.field("image_field").upload_image(image_path)
```
The `value` API also now supports `Image` fields; it returns an `Upload` record if the field has an uploaded image.
This commit adds a new "Community title" field to the about config page. This field controls the `short_site_description` setting, which is shown in the browser tab for key pages such categories pages and topic lists.

This commit simplifies the initial state of the invite modal when it's opened to make it one click away from creating an invite link. The existing options/fields within the invite modal are still available, but are now hidden behind an advanced mode which can be enabled.
On the technical front, this PR also switches the invite modal to use our FormKit library.
Internal topic: t/134023.
Technically we don't show the edit custom section button on mobile, but the button is present so I just fixed it so the finder works on mobile. We should probably remove this test or find a way to make the button visible on mobile.
Also used `mobile: true` instead of manual url.
When a post has some replies, and the user click on the button to show them, we would load ALL the replies. This could lead to DoS if there were a very large number of replies.
This adds support for pagination to these post replies.

FIX: Duplicated parent posts
DEV: Query refactor
Adds support for `input-date` field when calling
`fill_in` on a FormKit field. Capybara supports passing
a Date object to `fill_in(with: value)` for date inputs,
so there is nothing fancy that needs to be done to support this.
This commit introduces a little bit of duplication
since the old plugin UIs not using the new plugin show
page look different from ones like AI and Gamification
which have been converted. We can use the new admin
header component on the plugins list, but for the other
pages we are manually rendering a breadcrumb trail and
the list of plugin tabs.
Over time as we convert more plugins to use the new UI
guidelines and show page we can get rid of this duplication.
Makes it easier to reach the group from the category security
tab, and moves the trash button to the right to avoid misclicks.
Also converts the category permission row to gjs
Covers the use case of doing this in composer:
```javascript
page.execute_script("document.querySelector('.d-editor-input').setSelectionRange(6, 12);")
```
This commit implements 2 new metrics/stats in the /about page for the _estimated_ numbers of unique visitors from the EU and the rest of the world. This new feature is currently off by default, but it can be enabled by turning on the hidden `display_eu_visitor_stats` site settings via the rails console.
There are a number of assumptions that we're making here in order to estimate the number of unique visitors, specifically:
1. we're assuming that the average of page views per anonymous visitor is similar to the average number of page views that a logged-in visitor makes, and
2. we're assuming that the ratio of logged in visitors from the EU is similar to the ratio of anonymous visitors from the EU
Discourse keeps track of the number of both logged-in and anonymous page views, and also the number of unique logged-in visitors and where they're from. So with those numbers and the assumptions above, we can estimate the number of unique anonymous visitors from the EU and the rest of the world.

This commit introduces a new frontend API to add custom items to the "Site activity" section in the new /about page. The new API is called `addAboutPageActivity` and it works along side the `register_stat` serve-side API which serializes the data that the frontend API consumes. More details of how the two APIs work together is in the JSDoc comment above the API function definition.

This commit adds a blue dot next to the "What's New"
link in the admin sidebar if the user has not seen the
new features yet, as a followup to 3e5976f8436255185de556ae165d9d849ac8fb3a
which removed the tab on the dashboard that had this same
functionality.
When the admin visits the "What's New" page they count
as having seen all the features straight away. This could
be something we want to change, but for now this keeps the
same functionality.
This commit fixes a bug in the redesigned about page where if there's no banner image configured for the page, the top of the page where the banner goes is occupied with large white space. Additionally, this commit also fixes a related bug in the admin config area for the /about page where it's not possible to remove the uploaded banner image.
This commit continues on work laid out by 6039b513fe to redesign the /about page. In this commit, we add sections for showing the site admins and moderators.
The lists of admins and moderators display the 10 most recently seen admins/moderators, with a button to display the rest of admins or moderators. Admins or moderators that have not logged in to the site in the last year will not be shown. Clicking on an admin's or moderator's name/avatar will show their user card.
