The functions

bool runtime_is_string_or_null(json_t* json, const char* path);
bool runtime_is_bool_or_null(json_t* json, const char* path);
bool runtime_is_count_or_null(json_t* json, const char* path);

can now be called from anywhere inside MaxScale.
