<paragraph role="paragraph" id="par_idN10568" xml-lang="en-US" l10n="NEW">In a text format database, data is stored in an unformatted ASCII file, where each record comprises a row. The data fields are divided by separators. Text in the data fields is divided by quotation marks.</paragraph>
