<paragraph l10n="U" role="paragraph" id="par_id3156423" xml-lang="en-US" oldref="9"><emph>Less than zero:</emph> Always returns the same random number.</paragraph>
|
|
<paragraph l10n="U" role="paragraph" id="par_id3149560" xml-lang="en-US" oldref="10"><emph>Greater than zero:</emph> Returns the next random number in the sequence.</paragraph>
|
|
<paragraph l10n="U" role="paragraph" id="par_id3148648" xml-lang="en-US" oldref="11"><emph>Zero:</emph> Returns the random number that was last generated.</paragraph>
|
|
<paragraph l10n="U" role="paragraph" id="par_id3155306" xml-lang="en-US" oldref="12"><emph>Omitted:</emph> Returns the next random number in the sequence.</paragraph>

<paragraph role="paragraph" id="par_id3153091" l10n="U" xml-lang="en-US" oldref="13">If the same number is passed for each successive call to the Rnd function, the same random-number sequence is generated. This is because the Expression parameter is used as a starting point for the next number.</paragraph>
|
|
<paragraph xml-lang="en-US" role="paragraph" id="par_id3147318" l10n="U" oldref="14">The <emph>Rnd</emph> function only returns values ranging from 0 to 1. To generate random integers in a given range, use the formula in the following example:</paragraph>
